Jakarta – Tuesday (19/10): The Head of BPOM RI, Penny K. Lukito, symbolically presented the Processed Food Safety Management System (SMKPO) Certificate to GlobexPoint (CV. Mikro Usaha Digital Indonesia) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.

SMKPO is a system designed and developed to ensure the safety and quality of processed food through independent, risk-based supervision along the food distribution chain. Food distribution encompasses all activities such as receiving, storing, displaying, distributing, transporting, and/or delivering processed food.

The implementation of SMKPO is mandatory for all processed food distribution facilities. However, SMKPO certification is voluntary, except for import facilities applying for a distribution permit with BPOM for the first time.
